Following his tenure at Sprint, John joined Birch Communications in 2000, serving as Vice President for over 7 years. He oversaw all aspects of Carrier Relations, including market expansion, order processing, and escalations. John then transitioned to XO Communications in 2007, taking on the role of Director of State Public Policy. Here, he led regulatory and legislative efforts across the eastern United States, developed partnerships for a major grant proposal, and evaluated potential vendors and partners. In 2011, John joined Verizon, where he spent a decade managing various aspects of the company's wireline and cable network suppliers.

During his tenure as a Vice President Business Development & Carrier Relations at INDATEL Services , John played a pivotal role in guiding the company’s strategic growth initiatives. He provided advice to INDATEL's executive and board leadership, focusing on the development and implementation of key strategies to drive business expansion.
