Jim Turner has an impressive career in leadership, with a wealth of experience in various capacities. As the CEO of Bartholomew County REMC from 2008 to 2020, Jim successfully steered the organization for over a decade. His oversight extended across diverse operations, encompassing construction, maintenance, service, engineering, member service, community relations, and accounting and control.
Prior to his role at Bartholomew County REMC, Jim served as the Business Relations Manager at Duke Energy from 2006 to 2008. Here, he played a pivotal role in implementing customer strategies and plans to enhance customer satisfaction, fortify regulatory relationships, and drive earnings growth by managing Duke Energy's major customers and local stakeholder relationships.
During his tenure as District Manager with Cinergy-PSI, Jim demonstrated exceptional leadership in managing, directing, and facilitating operations within Columbus, Franklin, and Greenwood in Indiana. His responsibilities included ensuring cost-effective and reliable external and internal customer service.
Over the years, Jim Turner actively engaged with the community and held key roles in various organizations: Columbus Economic Development Board member, Columbus Rotary member, American Junior Golf Association Executive Committee member, First Tee of Columbus Executive Committee member, and Columbus Sports Advisory Council.
With forty years of experience in the electric sector, Jim has seamlessly navigated all facets of the industry. Jim collaborates with associated organizations, including Generation and Transmission companies, statewide associations, political action groups, and economic development organizations.

Jim Turner earned his Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Management from Indiana University, Bloomington, IN. His educational background, combined with his extensive experience, positions him as a well-rounded and knowledgeable professional.
